HAPPY RELEASE DAY ~ CRISTALE'S AWAKENING

So excited, today is RELEASE DAY for Cristale's Awakening. A couple of weeks ahead of schedule, so last minute promotion is in order. I'll be on a few blogs for the next month promoting her. For this week, you can pick up the novella at Secret Cravings Publishing, http://store.secretcravingspublishing.com/index.php?main_page=book_info&cPath=2&products_id=561. Soon will be available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, BookStrand and All Romance Ebooks. Until then take a peek at a naughty scene.

He set his hand on her nape, his thumb curving around the side of her neck. He focused on her face. “Interesting perceptions. Are you curious about kinky sex? Like restraints, spanking, erotic play? BDSM includes other pleasures other than pain, many I’d enjoy training you in. As far as strange clothes, I prefer my subs to wear nothing or only very little clothing when I play.”
The same pretty pink blush when they were in the elevator rose on her cheeks again. “Naked play?”
Hunter glanced down at her breasts, her nipples poking against her blouse. His balls tightened with the thought of touching them. Fuck. Maybe this wasn’t a good idea. Like it or not, her body was aroused by the subject of BDSM, and he better tread lightly or scare her away. “Yes. Let me explain further then you can ask more questions.”
“Okay.”
“I have never taken a sub to train or done more than play a scene at a club. That part of my life I kept separate from my public persona. You obviously aren’t in the lifestyle, so you don’t know all the protocols of who does what. I could give you some stock answers to fill in the blanks for all your questions, but that won’t serve our purposes for tonight. I will tell you what I want from a submissive, which is what I believe you are. I do not wish to have a slave. I do expect complete submission in the bedroom, in a club, and also when we are alone. If you agree you want this, I will want to have a say in all areas of your life, but I will not choose your friends or your clothes or tell you how to run your business. However, I will expect you to take my views into account. Many things can be discussed and mutually agreed upon in advance, but if I give an order I will have instant obedience or there will be consequences. Now ask your questions.”
“You want to be my Dom? You want to have kinky sex with me?”
He lowered his head and captured her mouth with his in a fierce passion, smothering her gasp of surprise. He broke the embrace just enough to murmur, “I want you, Cristale. Not just kinky sex. I’ve wanted you for such a long time and can’t wait any longer.”
Her lips trembled as if she held in some strong emotion. “Oh, Hunter, I—”
Pulling her closer, he stifled any further protest or second thoughts she might have, brushing her lips tenderly with his. He’d make sure she couldn’t think straight as his fingers wrapped softly around her neck, holding her close as their kiss deepened. Her mouth tasted sweet and hot like cinnamon candy. This scenario played out better in reality than his imaginary one in the elevator.
Steele pulled back and traced the outline of her kiss-swollen lips with the pad of his thumb. “You’re so beautiful.” Her gaze rose to his, and he saw the frightened woman in her dark-blue eyes, breathing in soft pants.
Physical desire spun its way into his body as her passion-filled sapphire irises connected with his. He wanted to dominate and make her compliant to his every command. He wanted to bury his prick in her cunt so deep she’d scream his name. He’d love her the way he’d wanted since the first time he’d seen her at the office. Above all, he needed her trust, the kind that transcended their bodies and captured their souls.
She sucked in her bottom lip between her teeth. “You’re not going to be gentle with me, are you?”
A strangled groan filled his throat, along with shaking his head ever so slightly. “No, probably not.”
Steele pulled her upward, kissing her again. The intensity of the hunger coursing through his body shocked him. Being celibate and out of the lifestyle for too many long months already made him horny as hell, and having Cristale in his arms sent his libido into a spiral he wasn’t sure he’d recover. The woman, who had ruled his ordinary dreams, his daydreams, and his wet dreams, now truly was in his place, and soon in his bed, bound and open wide for his enjoyment, and hers.
He nibbled her generous bottom lip. Breaking the teasing caress, he brushed his lips with tender kisses over her neck to her ear. “The time for talking is over. Time for your next lesson and let’s take this to my room of pleasure.”
Roughly lifting her off her feet, he scooped her into his arms, hers snaking around his neck.
“Room of pleasure? Is that what you call your bedroom? Really?” She snickered as she stared into his face, taking him back by her change of attitude.
“No, my bedroom is my bedroom. Some call their play rooms a dungeon, but I live in a condo and the last I checked, they don’t have dark, underground areas. So my extra space is like a den of decadence if you will. I’m quite proud of it, thank you very much.” He meant to lighten the mood because she seemed to tense up again.
“Okay. Do I get one of those words to say in case I don’t want to do this?”
He smiled. She had read something about BDSM protocols even if they had been in erotica novels. “A safeword. Yes, Cristale. In my house the safeword is red.”
“Good, but why can’t I pick my own?”
“The word has to be something that if you use it the meaning is clear you want to stop all play. No questions, no misunderstandings. Red is easier to remember. Let me warn you now about using your safeword. If you do, I will stop, and we’ll talk about the reasons. Discomfort, pain, whatever. Do you understand?”
She swallowed hard. “Yes, I understand. I’ll use red. For now.”
Hunter raised a brow and shook his head slightly. “That’s my girl.”

Until another day my naughty pets,

THANK GOODNESS IT'S FRIDAY--SADLY IT'S LINDSAY DOWNS LAST DAY!

TGIF and I have Lindsay Downs for one more day. It's been fun and I hope everyone has enjoyed his visit. The character interviews have been great!

Again, this is the last day to comment and be entered into the giveaway of a $20 GC to Secret Cravings Publishing. Just leave a comment below and at least visit one of Lindsay's social sites and subscribe/follow.

Without further ado, take it away one more time Lindsay.

What’s in a name?

We’re all familiar with the following-

A rose by any other name is…
Don’t judge a book by is cover.

Well, here’s another one for you all-

Don’t judge a person by his or her name.

Being a writer is easy, we’re all writers. Being a published author is even harder. Being a multi-published author is close to a miracle. Then add multi-contracts with a publisher and it goes past the realm of miracle.

Now, be a bestselling author with your debut romance regency, that’s out of this world.

Oh, I should have told you I’ve got two different contracts for a total of four regency romantic suspense books. Also, a six book contract for a contemporary suspense series.

What makes all this even more amazing is…that I’m a man. Divorced from one wife and my second wife died unexpectedly.

If you haven’t already guessed from reading the posts since Monday you would have known that. What you might not have realized, is that Lindsay Downs is my real name.

For several years, I kept the fact I’m a man a secret. Not because I was ashamed, but I wanted to be known as an author, not a man who’s an author. Last year with the encouragement of several very close friends on several internet radio shows, I announced to the world, or so I thought, who I really was.

My point is, it doesn’t make a difference if you’re a man or woman, you can write and should write the genre of your choice. Not only that but in your style and voice.

HAPPY THURSDAY WITH LINDSAY DOWNS!

Yep, it's Thursday, almost the weekend here on Between the Pages and Lindsay is bringing us an interview with Jessica Sales from Ice Queen.

Hope everyone has enjoyed the interviews and excerpts.

Remember, leave a comment today for a chance to win a $20 Gift Certificate from Secret Cravings Publishing. If you haven't followed Lindsay on one of his social sites, check out the links below and follow at least one of them.

Without anymore fanfare, take it away Lindsay!

Today we have Jessica Sales in the hot seat. Her first book, Ice Queen, releases in June 2013 from Secret Cravings Publishing. Warning-don’t piss her off if you want to see tomorrow.

GUEST INTERVIEWER: Are you upset your name is not in the title?

JESSICA: In a sense my name is in the title. In each of the books Lindsay has written about me he uses, with my permission, my code name for the operation. In this case it’s Ice Queen.

GUEST INTERVIEWER: Do you have any annoying habits your author did not share with us in your book?

JESSICA: If he had I’d have killed him.

GUEST INTERVIEWER: Do you have siblings? Are you close to them?

JESSICA: No. My parents died in an auto accident.

GUEST INTERVIEWER: Are you happy with the profession your author chose for you or would you rather be working at something totally different and why?

JESSICA: Who are you kidding? He didn’t give it to me, I gave it to him. I get to travel the world working for a consortium of very powerful individuals taking care of problems governments can’t or won’t.

GUEST INTERVIEWER: Would you like to be taller, blonder, thinner or smarter than you have been portrayed?

JESSICA: No. I’m not one of those women who has a body image problem.

GUEST INTERVIEWER: Are you planning to make an appearance in a sequel? If not are you unhappy about that?

JESSICA: Well, since the series is about me, yes. So far Lindsay’s already been contracted for a total of six books. I’ve also got four more in the works with him.

GUEST INTERVIEWER: Now for a personal question. Is there enough  sex in the book for you? Would you have liked more?

JESSICA: Hell yeah. No he’s given my enough scenes so they add to the story, not detract from it.

GUEST INTERVIEWER: Did your author handle your “love” scenes the way you like or was she too explicit or not explicit enough?

JESSICA: Reading over the scenes I was really surprised at how well he nailed it.

GUEST INTERVIEWER: Is your hero/heroine a good kisser?

JESSICA: If there was a word higher than magnificent it couldn’t begin to describe the way Ronny kisses. Let’s just say, every time we kiss I got oh so wet.

GUEST INTERVIEWER: Are you happy with the setting? Did you want a bigger house or car?

JESSICA: Ice Queen starts out in Wyoming then shifts to The Big Apple. Yes, I’m happy with the setting. Of course I have a nice little house, thirty rooms with a ballroom, in Antibes, FR.

GUEST INTERVIEWER: How many re-writes did you have to live through?

JESSICA: None. If Lindsay didn’t get the books right the first time he knew what would happen to him. Let’s just say it wouldn’t have been pretty.

GUEST INTERVIEWER: Did your story end too soon?

JESSICA: As long as I get the villain, dead or dead, then the book finishes at the right spot.

GUEST INTERVIEWER: Who was your favorite supporting character?

JESSICA: That’s really hard to say as I’ve got a great team of experts working with and for me. I guess if I had to name one it would be Collette. She’s my cook, chef and part-time mother. Even though she’s not in the debut book I do mention her.

GUEST INTERVIEWER: Were you happy with your wardrobe?

JESSICA: Are you kidding me? Most of the time I’m in designer outfits, especially swim suits which Ronny doesn’t approve of. Seems he thinks I’m showing off a little, correction to much skin.

GUEST INTERVIEWER: Did you fight much with your author or did you two see eye-to-eye?

JESSICA: Since I’m 5’2” and he’s 6’ it’s a little hard to see eye-to-eye with him unless I stand on a step stool. Kidding aside, yes we do, he’s the best.

(Gray's comment: Now, for an excerpt. Yay!)

This is an unedited, by my editor, so please forgive any poo-poos. In this scene Jessica meets the villain.

Enjoy-

With a mental brain shake, she lifted her head. As their gazes met she leaned back and settle her elbows on the bar top. The effect was damn near instantaneous as it helped stretch the flimsy material over her breasts.

His heated smile of approval, she saw, confirmed the distraction was working. While part of her kept him occupied she positioned her booted right foot against the front of the bar. “You got it?” Her voice soft, with a touch of sensual huskiness.

“And more, if you want,” he replied as he leaned forward to close the distance.

From the bottom of her vision she caught movement as he lifted a hand. She fought back a cringe when he brushed the tips of his fingers along the side of her breast.

“Nope, just what I ordered.” She paused to look him down and up. “Don’t see anything else that I could use,” her voice hardening ever so slightly.

“You sure?” he asked before his thumb drifted toward her peaked nipple.

“Yep, and if you don’t want to sing with the Vienna Boys Choir, I’d suggest you remove your hand. Oh,” she paused to let the first words sink into his lecherous brain, “and look down if you don’t believe me.”

Never one to doubt or underestimate a dangerously beautiful woman he dropped his eyes. He could feel them open even wider when he saw a knife point glisten in the weak light of the room, a centimeter from his groin.
